What data we process and why
Biosfer Teslab only collects the data that are strictly necessary. On this website, the only data processed are the contact details that users provide in its forms:
- Enquiry forms. Name, email address, organisation (optional), area of interest and message, in order to answer the enquiry and manage any relationship arising from it.
- Newsletter. Email address, in order to send periodic news and updates on Biosfer Teslab’s scientific activity.
- Web analytics, only if you accept cookies. Browsing data (pages visited, device, approximate location and searches on the website), through Google Analytics, in order to understand how the website is used and improve it. Details in the cookie policy.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form or by accepting analytics cookies, and which you may withdraw at any time.
No automated decisions are made and no user profiles are created.
How long we keep the data
Data are kept until the user requests their erasure and for the periods required by law, unless they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.
Who we share the data with
Biosfer Teslab does not sell, rent or transfer users’ personal data or email addresses to third parties, except where required by law or where necessary to provide the service itself.
The forms on this website are handled by Netlify, the provider that hosts the website, which processes the data on behalf of Biosfer Teslab. Netlify, Inc. is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, included in its data processing agreement. If you accept analytics cookies, browsing data are processed by Google (Google Analytics) and may be transferred to Google LLC, in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The website may include links or sharing features from third parties, such as social networks. Biosfer Teslab does not manage or control the information collected in those applications or networks, which are subject to their own legal notices and privacy policies.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise the rights granted by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
