Biosfer Teslab, an in vitro diagnostic company that develops novel NMR-based tests to improve cardiovascular risk assessment in patients at high cardio-metabolic risk, is looking for Industrial Doctorate candidates.
The company arises from the research carried out at the Metabolomics Platform and the Lipids and Atherosclerosis Research Unit from the Rovira i Virgili University and is a spin-off company from the same university as well as from the Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili. Biosfer Teslab has been founded by a young and enthusiastic team as well as by international opinion leaders with new ideas and perspectives aimed at developing better tools to improve cardiovascular risk prediction.
Within the strategic activities of the company, we promote the research and development (R&D) area for further research into novel NMR-based markers of cardiovascular disease. For this purpose, the successful candidate will be involved in different activities within our R&D area, from the analysis of different biofluids using NMR spectroscopy to the data processing and data analysis of the results obtained.
The successful candidate will possess a Degree and Master in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biotechnology or related subject. Candidates with prior exposure to NMR spectroscopy, bioinformatics, biostatistics, and/or metabolic disorders are sought. Ability to work in a team environment, effective verbal and written communication skills (in English) as well as effective presentation, organization and planning skills are a must.
