Biosfer Teslab, an in vitro diagnostic company that develops novel NMR-based tests to improve cardiovascular risk assessment in patients at high cardio-metabolic risk, is looking for candidates to join our operations team.
The company arises from the research carried out at the Metabolomics Platform and the Lipids and Atherosclerosis Research Unit from the Rovira i Virgili University and is a spin-off company from the same university as well as from the Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili. Biosfer Teslab has been founded by a young and enthusiastic team as well as by international opinion leaders with new ideas and perspectives aimed at developing better tools to improve cardiovascular risk prediction.
Within the strategic activities of the company, we promote the research and development (R&D) area for further research into novel NMR-based markers of cardiovascular disease.
The main task is to validate analytical workflows for biomedical applications in several laboratories around Europe. The position will entail developing robust, efficient and reproducible procedures including sample preparation, NMR spectrometer setup and NMR data acquisition, taking into account the recently implemented quality management system.
The successful candidate will possess a PhD degree in chemistry or biochemistry and excellent analytical skills including prior exposure to NMR spectroscopy, analytical biochemistry and quality processes. Knowledge on programming languages and statistical frameworks (Python, MATLAB, R, etc.) are sought. Authored publications in a relevant field, ability to work in a team environment, effective verbal written communication skills in English as well as effective presentation, organization and planning skills are a must.
